We are looking for an ECE School Age Care worker and Grade One Classroom Assistant. This role will work in our School Age Care program and support in Grade One at our Wentworth Campus (JK - Grade 7), while being a part of a dynamic and collaborative team of educators and School Age Care staff.
The position starts at 9:15 am and finishes at 5:15 pm. The first part of the day will be in Grade One supporting teachers and students and from 2:30 pm until 5:15 pm the role will support our School Age Care program. This is a Temporary Contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, starting on August 23, 2024 and with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities

Building strong relationships with children, co-workers and parents.

Collaborate closely in planning for diverse learners and general classroom expectations.

Work closely with our Director of Auxiliary Programs and SAC workers to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children using the School Age Care program from JK to Grade 5.

Ensure that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to BC Licensing and Collingwood requirements.

Maintain confidentiality of all information related to Collingwood School, the children, their families, and staff.
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
- A valid ECE 5-year certificate.

Demonstrate a sound understanding of child development

Be proficient in the use of technology

Basic First Aid

Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

This position will be paid on a grid and the starting salary will be based on years of ECE experience. The range is $56,819 to $77,102.
