The Bridge Educational Society is seeking a Director of Education - Early Years Centre (EYC) to join
our established Early Years Operation. The Director of Education EYC serves in a key leadership
role and works in a collaborative and/or consultative manner with The Bridge Educational
Society (BES) stakeholders to support its’ mission, vision and values. The Director of Education
EYC is responsible for upholding the legal and educational standards and compliance for
operating a Waldorf child care center in the province of British Columbia, including but not
limited to curriculum quality and student safety.
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is required to hold a BC ECE Certificate and be motivated by a curriculum
inspired by the developmental and pedagogical theories which provide the basis for the
methods of Waldorf Education. Applicants that have completed or will complete their Waldorf
Early Years Certification and have 3-5 years minimum of previous experience are highly
preferred. The following are preferred qualifications:
● Five years progressively responsible experience in a leadership role in a Waldorf school;
● Experience in human resources including hiring and termination, evaluation, progressive
discipline techniques and personnel administration;
● Strong interpersonal skills;
● Effective oral and written communication skills;
● Ability to work in an extremely busy environment and to keep several projects going at once;
● Knowledge of principles of effective public relations; and,
● Current first aid certificate or a willingness to obtain one.

SALARY $70,000 prorated to FTE and based on experience and credentials
