The Roots Practice promotes and supports cultural planning for Aboriginal children in the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Through collaboration with social workers and Aboriginal Community members a culturally specific plan of care is developed for each child that will include connections to life-long attachments and support with their community.
Qualifications:
Other: Bachelor of Social Work or related field
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field
- Knowledge of the Child & Community Service Act
- Knowledge of the First Nations communities in BC and Canada
- Knowledge of the child and/or youth in care process
- Demonstrate understanding of Status, Non-Status, Metis, Inuit, and On and Off Reserve
- Model or mentor positive cultural influence, knowledge, and historical understanding of Aboriginal issues.

$22.50 - $ 25.50
