Program Coordinator(s), Early Childhood Education certificate/diploma

Burnaby School District is accepting applications for three small contract positions within the Continuing Educaton department. Intersted candidates may apply for one or two roles, or may express interest in taking all three roles which would be equivalent to a full-time job.

1) Coordinator, ECE Basic Part-time program (evenings/Saturdays)
2) Coordinator, ECE Basic Full-time program (daytime, Mon-Fri)
3) Coordinator, ECE Post-Basic program (Infant and Toddler and Inclusive Practices) (evenings/Saturdays)

Responsibilites include:
- Create a schedule of courses
- Assign instructors to teach courses and guide them.
- Ensure curriculum continues to meet provincial guidelines.
- Hire new instructors when needed.
- Deliver information sessions to potential students (approximatley 3/year)
- Review applicants and accept students into the ECE program.

Hours are flexible. The Coordinator is expected to schedule their work hours to match the program needs.

Qualifications:

Other: varies: eg. degree, teaching experience

Additional Qualifications:

Must be organized, able to work independently, have excellent interpersonal skills, able to give and take feedback effectively. 

Required Experience:

Must be highly experienced in the ECE field and passionate about ECE.

Salary & Benefits:

$25,200 /year per program.

Coordinators are also eligible to instruct some courses and are paid separately for instruction.
Coordinators are also eligible to conduct practicum visits and are paid extra.
