Preschool Support Worker

Pied Piper Preschool is a play based preschool providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all children and their families. We strive for quality care and follow a curriculum that sets standards for development and learning. Pied Piper is located behind Armstrong Elementary School.

We are looking for an energetic and passionate support worker to add to our team this school term. The candidate will work with the current team in supporting child(ren) who require extra support and are funded by BC Center for Ability. The position is 2 days a week Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 12:30pm (3.5hrs per day) for 10 months September to June. The candidate will communicate with the team and help support where needed in the day to day routine and help guide child(ren) through routines. 

Qualifications:

Other: ECE or ECEA

Additional Qualifications:

Perference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

• Valid ECE or ECEA Certificate
• Responsible Adult would be considered - with experience in working with children who require support
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
• Strong communication skills and work in a team enviroment
• Able to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
• Effective guiding and caring skills
• Professional and reliable in maintaining scheduled shifts
• Ensure the safety, health and well being of all the children in care

Salary: $21.00 an hour
