Floor Supervisor

Qualicum First Nation Childcare Centre is looking for an experienced ECE Supervisor to lead the 3-5 Daycare.

The Floor Supervisor is dedicated to spending 90% of their time on the floor ensuring the quality of the program is being met on a day-to-day basis while the remaining 10% is reserved for admin duties.

Floor Supervisor's Key Job Duties

- Working as a team with co-educators

-Program planning with co-educators 

-Keeping the day flowing on schedule/routine

-Creating a rotation of job duties that will work for the team

-Follow main components of Aboriginal Head Start on Reserve

-Communicate effectively

-Conduct growth-oriented feedback to staff in an appropriate way 

-Field Trip and Event Planning

-Willingness to learn and embrace new cultures

-Conflict resolution 

-Role model positive guidance, positive relationships, and positive interactions with children, families, and staff

-Ensure that the safety, dignity, and the needs of all children are being met

Qualifications:

Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications:

ASSETS

Infant Toddler or Special Needs Diploma

First Aid, CPR

Food Safe

Years Experience Required:

Required Experience:

Experience in ECE minimum. 

Experience in ECE Supervision an asset.

Salary & Benefits:

$30-$32 - We are a free program, so we do not collect BC Wage Enhancement.
