We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual for a part-time position to join our team! Our program includes safe school drop-offs and pick-ups, presenting engaging activities, and a lot of FUN in our bustling environment. 

At MOFP Before and After School Care, we grow caring, curious, confident, and resilient thinkers. MOFP is a place where children and their families feel valued, respected and heard; a place that encourages problem-solving skills, creativity and teamwork; a place where the children’s interests guide the programming. Our staff team creates meaningful relationships with the children and families. 

Spend the school year creating safe, healthy and positive before and after school care experiences for children 5-12 years old. As part of the MOFP Team, you will be working in a fast-paced, creative environment focused on delivering safe, active programs for children to develop their skills, while meeting new friends. We are committed to ensuring that every child in our program has a positive experience. Our licensed Before and After Care program incorporates outdoor play, engaging activities, a fun atmosphere, and a great place for children to spend their time before and after the school day. 

Qualifications:

Other: Responsible Adult Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Have a current Emergency First Aid and CPR-C/AED certificate
  • Have a valid Food Safe Certificate
  • A valid ECE Certification is an asset 
  • Have a clear Criminal Record Check 

Salary & Benefits:

25 hours/week.

Monday to Friday split shift from 7am-9am and 3pm-6pm during the school year.

$23/hour + (wage increase for a succesful candidate with ECE)

A succesful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program participants, volunteers, staff, and the public.  

  • Perform duties with integrity and sound judgement. 

  • Flexible and able to quickly adapt to new environments and situations. 

  • Creative and passionate about play. 

  • Self-motivated and can take initiative with little supervision. 

  • Great communicators with the ability to work with people of all ages including parents, staff, volunteers, and children. 

  • Highly organized. 

  • Accompany children to and from our site to Sir Wilfrid Laurier Elementary School. 

  • Walk long distances and enforce safety measures while leading the group. 

  • Provide an active, healthy, safe and stimulating environment for children to develop social skills and general well-being 

  • The ideal candidate will be flexible, have excellent people skills, and enjoy working with children.
