ECE needed for a group daycare in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. We are looking for a team member who provides nurturing care and education for young children in a group setting. We encourage a strong team atmosphere within our staff, so the right candidate will be professional, have a mindset of working collabrativly with others for the greater purpose of providing exceptional childcare and friendly support to children and families of our centre.
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Infant/Toddler and/or Special Needs designation not required.); valid BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice; valid First Aid & CPR certificates; clear BC Criminal Record Check; Immunization Record; Physician’s Form of Suitability; and one year of work experience in a licensed child care setting, although will be willing to train the right candidate.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and team player
• Solid organizational skills to address changing priorities and interruptions in a busy environment
The position is physically demanding and includes lifting with weight, crouching, bending, standing, sitting, outdoor work, and exposure to noise. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
